Queensland Fire Regulations have changed for domestic dwellings! Don’t be caught out!

Since Jan 2022 if you are Renting, Selling or doing a substantial renovation in your home you must upgrade your alarms. All homes must comply by 2027 but don’t wait, upgrade now and make your home safer. 

To comply your alarm system must:

• be photoelectric (AS 3786-2014);
• be interconnected, so if one goes off they all go off;
• be no older than ten years;
• be installed on every level;
• be installed in every bedroom;
• be installed in hallways outside the bedrooms or between the bedroom and the rest of the dwelling
